The Council offers internship opportunities to college and university
students, and select individuals who are interested in pursuing careers in foreign service, journalism,
politics, government, diplomacy, multilateral and international affairs.
Intensive hands-on training are provided to our interns in the following areas:
Oral and Written Communication Skills
Interviewing Skills
Research/Journalistic Writing
Web Design and Development
Our interns participate in various diplomatic meetings, conferences, press briefings, forums,
and other events with world leaders, diplomats, policy experts and government officials. Travel is often required to represent the Council in various meetings
with the Permanent Missions at the United Nations
in New York.
Qualified interns are posted to various Permanent Missions to the United Nations in New York as delegates.
Our interns do not receive salaries, and they are responsible for their board and lodging.
Qualified interns outside of the United States are provided with necessary visas to perform their
duties as delegates at the United Nations in New York.
For interns who are qualified to take the Foreign Service Examinations, the Council will
provide all the necessary tutorials to prepare them for the exams, as well as all
the needed preparations to successfully become a member of the Foreign Service.
