On 3 September 2008, the Permanent Missions of the Federal Republic of Germany and of Sweden to
the United Nations hosted the presentation of the report 'Civil Society and the UN
Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy: Opportunities and Challenges' to the members of
delegations of member States at the United Nations. The report
'Civil Society
and the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy: Opportunities and Challenges' is the culmination of various workshops and discussions by representatives of
Civil Societies from 25 countries. Euclid and IOSD DSG Vince Sinning was one of the two discussants during the event.
The Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation hosted a workshop on
July 21-22 in New York City. The workshop is part of a project designed to raise awareness of the UN Global
Counter-Terrorism Strategy and explore the possibility of involving civil
society in its implementation. Euclid and IOSD Deputy Secretary General Vince Sinning was invited to participate in the event.
Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program will host The Summit for American Prosperity: Washington and Metropolitan Areas Working Together. The event will take place at the Washington Hilton Wednesday evening, June 11 and Thursday, 12, 2008.

Conference on Environment and Democracy hosted by UNITAR-Yale University on 10-11 May 2008 at
